Originally from Wisconsin, Jon Coulthurst has called Sarasota, Florida home for more than 40 years. As the founder of JC Drafting & Design, Inc., Jon brings more than 50 years of residential design experience to homeowners throughout Sarasota and Southwest Florida.

Jon has dedicated his career to designing custom homes, renovations, additions, ADUs, and accessory buildings that are both beautiful and practical. His extensive knowledge of residential design, construction practices, Florida building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting requirements allows him to guide clients confidently from concept through permit-ready plans.

Known for his integrity, attention to detail, and client-focused approach, Jon believes every successful project begins with listening. Clients bring their ideas, lifestyle, property, and goals – the pieces of the puzzle – and Jon helps bring those pieces together into a home that fits the way they live.

Outside of work, Jon enjoys fishing, golfing, boating, and spending time with his grandchildren. He and his wife, Barbara, have been married for 50 years, and family remains at the heart of everything he does.

After more than five decades in the industry, Jon remains passionate about one simple goal: creating dream homes through thoughtful design.
